Boris Nemtsov is just the latest of very many Putin opponents who have been killed: Anna Politkovskaya, Galina Starovoitova, Igor Domnikov, Sergey Novikov, Iskandar Khatloni, Sergey Ivanov, Stanislav Markelov, Adam Tepsurgayev, Sergei Yushenkov, Natalya Estemirova, Yuri Shchekochikhin, Nikolai Girenko, Paul Klebnikov, Sergei Magnitsky, Andrei Kozlov, Alexei Devotchenko, Boris Berezovsky and many more, including well over 100 journalists. These are no coincidence. They are even killed on the streets of Western countries as we saw with Alexander Litvinenko. Putin has no qualms about shooting down a commercial airliner with 300 people on board, so he really will stop at nothing to get his own way.
The Moscow apartment bombings of September 1999, which killed three hundred people and wounded hundreds of others, are what, ultimately brought Putin to power. These were blamed on the Chechens and led to the Second Chechen War. However the bombings are widely regarded as being false flag, perpetrated by the Russian state as a pretext. And we all know who was in the strongest position to carry out the bombings and who benefited most from them. Certainly they have Putin’s operating methods stamped all over them. Putin likes instability, it allows him to get away with actions that otherwise he couldn’t.
I have previously explained Putin’s kleptocratic gangsterism in this article, and how to deal with him over Ukraine etc in this article. (Click highlight to go to article).
Putin controls all the media in Russia, everything people hear is controlled by him. So they are utterly brainwashed. He has close to a 90% approval rating because nobody knows the truth. Putin will blame Nemtsov’s murder on the CIA, Ukrainians, Chechens, or whoever suits his political purpose and most Russian people will believe him. As will his hard of thinking apologists in the West.
Putin’s opponents don’t just die for him to get rid of them. They die to demonstrate his power. To show that he can and will do it. To the West it says that he has total control and is not afraid to do anything. Inside Russia it says that there are no longer any freedoms, everyone must do what Putin says, everyone must believe his lies and do as he says. Murdering Nemtsov in such a public place tells Putin’s opponents that they are not safe anywhere in Russia.
Really with Putin we have a mad man on the loose. But far worse than any mad man before because he has nuclear weapons. The world really is in great danger. Putin’s ego is worth more to him than the lives of thousands, maybe even hundreds of thousands of people. I seriously believe that he is mentally ill, he is not behaving like a balanced, rational, compassionate human being, more like a rabid dog.
